Stelia Aerospace

Stelia Aerospace established its presence in Quebec thanks to Syscomax with the construction of its first North American headquarters in 2012. A French leader in the global aerospace industry, the company quickly placed its trust in Syscomax, which developed an approach tailored to the highly technical requirements of its operations from the earliest stages of the project.

Located on the grounds of Mirabel Airport, this initial 81,000 sq ft (7,525 sq m) facility includes administrative offices as well as a production site dedicated to the fuselage of the Global 7000 and 8000 series. In 2014, Syscomax was awarded the “Best Industrial Partner” distinction by Stelia Aerospace, recognizing the quality of project delivery and adherence to budget and schedule.

Building on this successful first collaboration, Stelia Aerospace once again mandated Syscomax in 2018 to carry out an expansion of the building’s office areas. This project presented several challenges for the execution team, notably due to unforeseen soil conditions and changes made to the client’s requirements during construction. The teams therefore doubled their efforts to maintain the high standards of excellence that define Syscomax. Despite these challenges, the work was completed in just four months, ahead of schedule. As of December 2018, the client was able to move into enhanced office spaces, bringing the expansion to a total area of 15,800 sq ft (1,468 sq m).

Continuing this growth, Syscomax carried out a major expansion in 2021, more than doubling the building’s initial footprint. Covering 173,000 sq ft (16,072 sq m), this new phase enabled Stelia Aerospace to significantly increase its production capacity, while adding dedicated shipping and receiving areas, as well as new office spaces.
