The Project
Building on a partnership established with real estate developer Valdev, Syscomax was mandated to deliver Valdev 1, a major industrial complex located in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield and developed for Pelican, a key player in the nautical industry.
The project, carried out in two phases, first involved the renovation and requalification of an existing 140,000 sq. ft. (13,006 sq. m.) building, formerly occupied by Dominion Textile. In parallel, Syscomax constructed a new 170,000 sq. ft. (15 794 sq. m.) facility designed to meet the requirements of specialized industrial operations.
This new building includes a high-bay section reaching 50 feet, allowing for the installation of vertical blow molding thermoforming equipment used in the company’s manufacturing processes. The overall development now totals 316,472 sq. ft. (29,401 sq. m.), combining both rehabilitated and newly constructed areas.
This large-scale industrial complex highlights the site’s ability to accommodate specialized manufacturing operations while contributing to the revitalization of an existing industrial asset.
