Foliot Furniture Mirabel

The business relationship between Syscomax and the Foliot family spans more than twenty years. This long-standing partnership has led to the completion of two major projects at the Mirabel International Aerocity, supporting the continued growth and evolution of Meubles Foliot.

In 2019, the company entrusted Syscomax with the construction of a new production facility totaling more than 170,000 sq. ft. (15,794 m²), strategically located alongside Highway 50. This project marked a significant milestone in the organization’s development through the integration of a dedicated melamine manufacturing area. This innovation positioned Meubles Foliot among the first companies in North America within its industry to incorporate this activity directly into its operations, strengthening its autonomy and improving the efficiency of its supply chain.

The construction of this new facility represented a significant challenge due to a particularly tight schedule driven by the arrival of new production equipment and the need to quickly launch operations. Through rigorous coordination of the design process and all trades involved, the project was successfully delivered on schedule.

Two years later, in 2021, the growth of e-commerce and increasing warehousing requirements led Foliot Immo to undertake a second phase of development for the site. Syscomax was once again selected to design and build an expansion comprising two rental spaces totaling 174,000 sq. ft. (16,165 m²), dedicated to commercial warehousing and logistics operations.

Integrated seamlessly with the existing facilities, the expansion features a clear height of 31 feet, a maneuvering area capable of accommodating the transshipment of ten trucks simultaneously, and two grade-level doors. The building envelope is composed of insulated prefabricated panels providing excellent thermal performance, while the white TPO roofing system helps reduce heat island effects.

Together, these two projects reflect Meubles Foliot’s long-term growth vision and the trusted relationship that has united the two organizations for more than two decades.
