The Project
In 2015, Syscomax completed the construction of the Maison Le Grand facility, a company specializing in plant-based ready-to-eat meals, located in Blainville. This 13,000 sq ft (1,208 sq m) facility includes administrative offices as well as production, storage, and shipping areas dedicated to food products.
A few years later, driven by sustained growth and following a successful first collaboration, Maison Le Grand once again turned to Syscomax for an expansion of its facilities.
With a commitment to supporting clients throughout their growth, the team that delivered the original project had anticipated this expansion and facilitated its implementation. The scope of work included upgrading existing infrastructure by adding a blast chiller to the former freezer, as well as installing an additional freezer unit. Integrating these systems within an active production facility represented a challenge; however, such interventions in operational environments are part of Syscomax’s core expertise.
The 2,385 sq ft (222 sq m) expansion is built on a steel structure, with exterior finishes combining brick and prefabricated metal cladding designed for food production environments. Delivered in 2019, the project was completed without major disruption to ongoing operations, enabling Maison Le Grand to continue its growth trajectory.
“As the construction of our facility had been a great success, we were determined to carry out the second phase with Syscomax. We needed to continue operating in an environment that would ensure impeccable food production standards, and we knew the Syscomax team was the right partner for us.”
— Tatiana Bossy, Co-founder and President of Maison Le Grand
