The Project
A well-established success story for many years, La Maison Lavande, a family-owned business specializing in agrotourism and perfumery in the Lower Laurentians region, needed to relocate and expand its production facility – La Fabrique des Filles – in order to centralize its design and manufacturing operations while increasing production capacity for its wide range of lavender-derived products.
Featuring defined geometric lines and a rustic Scandinavian-inspired aesthetic, the new building is located in the Innoparc Albatros in Saint-Eustache. Designed by architect Jean-François Dupuis, the facility meets modern energy-efficiency standards and stands out through its striking architecture on every façade, including abundant glazing, curtain walls, and a garden-level floor offering breathtaking views of the surrounding agricultural fields.
Completed in just ten months, the new 62,075 sq. ft. (5,767 m²) facility spans two floors and brings together the company’s various departments under one roof. It includes, among other features, a 14,440 sq. ft. production area, bright and inspiring 9,500 sq. ft. administrative offices, and an expansive 28,000 sq. ft. storage area. A distinctive project that perfectly reflects the unique identity of this thriving company.
Delivered in February 2023, this exceptional project also earned recognition on Québec’s design scene. Submitted to the 2024 Grands Prix du Design, organized by INT Design, the project received four awards, including the prestigious Project of the Year Award, recognizing the exceptional quality of its architecture, design, and execution. These honours reflect the collaborative effort of all project stakeholders and the excellence that guided both its conception and construction.
