Le Solaris

After several working sessions carried out in close collaboration with the family-owned real estate company Helisis, the Syscomax team is proud to include Le Solaris among its completed projects, a high-density residential building located in Boisbriand.

Delivered in May 2023, this nine-storey building—considered at the time of completion as the tallest in the Faubourg Boisbriand area—comprises 133 rental units and 180 underground parking spaces. The project also includes infrastructure for up to 30 electric vehicle charging stations, optimizing the use of a constrained site located adjacent to two existing residential buildings. Le Solaris totals 202,655 sq. ft. (18,827 m²) and features premium amenities, including a rooftop terrace with pool and spa, a fitness centre, a reception room, and a lounge with co-working spaces. The contemporary architectural concept, defined by clean and refined lines, was developed by Forme Studio Architects.

From an execution standpoint, the project required a highly strategic and rigorous construction approach. Due to the high site occupancy—representing approximately 75% of the available lot footprint—the construction team implemented the secant wall method (berlin wall system) for excavation and foundation work, rather than conventional excavation techniques. This approach allowed for efficient management of tight site constraints while ensuring the stability of surrounding structures.

In a post-pandemic context marked by supply chain challenges, the Syscomax team also demonstrated strong agility in order to maintain the project schedule. Spanning 18 months, construction took place from October 2021 to May 2023, confirming the company’s ability to deliver complex projects under demanding conditions.
