The Project
La Petite Bretonne is a family-owned company established in 1964, specializing in the production of pastries distributed on a large scale. Faced with growing demand from both local and international clients, the second-generation company once again called upon Syscomax’s expertise—for the fifth time since 1994—to bring a new expansion project to life.
Spanning a ten-month period, this mandate involved the expansion of their Blainville facility to accommodate a new production line as well as additional storage space.
Covering an area of 13,530 sq ft (1,257 sq m), the expansion was designed by Syscomax architect Jean-François Dupuis with a focus on optimizing the existing site, maximizing the building footprint. The site layout also allowed for a sufficient number of parking spaces, meeting both municipal requirements and the client’s operational needs.
Seamlessly integrated with the existing building, the project was delivered in December 2022, to the full satisfaction of La Petite Bretonne and its production capacity needs.
“One cannot improvise as a general contractor in such a demanding and highly regulated industry as agri-food. Like a metronome, Syscomax has proven to be a benchmark in our industry, project after project.”
