The Project
Present in Canada since 1994 through its subsidiary Kaeser Compresseurs Canada inc., the German company Kaeser Kompressoren, globally recognized for its compressed air solutions, continues to experience steady growth in the North American market.
To support this expansion, the Boisbriand-based facility underwent an optimization and expansion in 2021, adding more than 12,000 sq. ft. (1,115 m²) as well as a mezzanine. This project aimed to increase the building’s operational capacity while improving the efficiency of the existing spaces. In this context, Kaeser Compresseurs Canada was seeking a partner capable of providing comprehensive project delivery, backed by strong expertise in industrial construction. Having already participated in the construction of the original building in 2001, Syscomax naturally emerged as the preferred choice for this new phase.
The intervention enhanced the storage areas to accommodate a wide range of equipment and parts inventory. The addition of the mezzanine also created new administrative spaces, while enabling the integration of an employee gym. The overall design remains consistent with the existing building through the use of precast concrete panels, insulated metal panels, and extensive glazing.
“We are delighted to have once again collaborated with this team. Over the years, we have worked together on numerous projects, providing our custom, energy-efficient and reliable compressed air solutions. Our professional relationship has always been positive, and it was an obvious choice to entrust them with this expansion.”
